What a great post! Thanks so much for directing me here. I can totally relate to Barbie references. They have played key roles in our History lessons. :-) Be blessed today!

Sarah Joy, thank you so much for your encouragement on my blog. This was such a beautiful post. In the midst of the business and chaos, it is so good to just rest and observe. I find that the Lord sends the most encouragement my way when I just sit and watch these beautiful children.
(excitedly whispering) "Go Ron Paul!"

Thanks for the info, Linda! There weren't many programs like that in the 80s and early 90s. I'm happy that homeschooling has taken off and that there are more resources and graduation options available now. Makes me even more thankful for my mom and my mother in law, who forged the way for the next generation of homeschoolers.

I wouldn't worry about homeschooling through high school. There are many ways to homeschool through high school nowsdays. There are co-op, tutors, as well as distant learning. We are using the Abeka distant learning program for her right now. At the end of the year she will get a dipIoma and a transcript from them. I have homeschool my daughter through high school. It has been a rewarding an experience for both of us.
